The Context: One of the Six Hubs
We conducted our field documentation in Taoyuan City, one of Taiwan’s six special municipalities. In the pre-dawn alleys, senior environmental guardians combine physical labor with digital learning to sustain the city’s daily order and cleanliness.

Although most volunteers are over 65, their belief is unwavering: treat recycling as exercise and community interaction as motivation. By maintaining neighborhood tidiness,these heroes regain dignity and identity.

Professional Certification
Even heroes need training! From environmental reporting to specialized hygiene education, volunteers complete 12 hours of certified courses via "Taipei E-Campus." Their passion evolves them from helpful neighbors into professional guardians of the land.
